Zapier Integration Setup

Use Zapier to connect Activly to 5,000+ apps — any platform Activly doesn't natively support.

When to use Zapier

Zapier is the right choice when your platform is not natively supported by Activly, or when you need custom event logic that a direct integration does not offer. If you sell through Teachable, Gumroad, Kajabi, or any other platform with a Zapier integration, you can connect it to Activly in minutes without writing code.

Zapier works by watching for events in one app (the trigger) and taking action in another (Activly). Every time a new sale, signup, or booking happens in your platform, Zapier sends the event to Activly and a notification is created automatically.

Setup steps

  1. Create a free or paid account at zapier.com if you do not already have one.
  2. Click Create Zap.
  3. Set up your Trigger:
    • Search for your platform (for example, Teachable, Gumroad, or Typeform).
    • Choose the trigger event that represents a new conversion (for example, New Enrollment in Teachable or New Sale in Gumroad).
    • Connect your account for that platform and test the trigger to confirm it returns data.
  4. Set up your Action:
    • Search for Activly in the action step.
    • Choose Create Notification Event.
    • Connect your Activly account using your API key, found at app.activly.ioSettingsAPI Key.
  5. Map your fields: match the data from your trigger app to the Activly fields:
    • First name → customer first name from your platform
    • City → billing city or location field
    • Product name → course name, product title, or plan name
    • Timestamp → event timestamp from your trigger
  6. Click Test & Continue — Zapier will send a test event to Activly. Verify it appears in your data feed at app.activly.io.
  7. Click Turn on Zap.

Common Zapier triggers that work well with Activly

  • Teachable — New Enrollment
  • Gumroad — New Sale
  • Typeform — New Submission (for lead capture or quiz completions)
  • Calendly — New Event (for booking-based social proof)
  • Kajabi — New Purchase
  • Podia — New Sale
  • Thinkific — New Enrollment
  • ConvertKit — New Subscriber (for signup notifications)

Any platform with a Zapier integration and a trigger for new conversions will work.

Tips for reliable Zaps

  • Zapier free plan adds a 15-minute delay between the trigger event and the action firing. If your notifications need to appear in real time (within seconds of a purchase), upgrade to a Zapier paid plan or use a native Activly integration where available.
  • Test with real data before turning your Zap on. Zapier's test mode uses sample data, which may not always match the exact field structure your live events send.
  • Keep field mapping simple — stick to first name, city, and product name. These three fields are enough to produce a compelling, believable notification.
  • Filter by event type if your platform sends multiple event types through the same trigger. Use Zapier's Filter step to ensure only completed purchases reach Activly, not refunds or failed payments.
