Understanding the Activly Dashboard
A walkthrough of the Activly dashboard — where to find your notifications, analytics, settings, and integrations.
Everything in Activly is managed from the dashboard at app.activly.io. This article walks through the main sections so you know where to find what you need.
Main navigation sections
The left sidebar contains four primary sections:
- Notifications — the central hub. This is where you create, edit, pause, and organize all your notifications.
- Integrations — manage your connected data sources. Add new platforms, view connection status, and configure what events each integration pulls.
- Analytics — performance data for your notifications. Views, click-through rates, and conversion attribution all live here.
- Settings — your install script, account details, billing and plan management, and team member access.
Notifications list
The Notifications screen shows every notification you have created, in a sortable list.
Each row displays:
- Name — the internal label you gave the notification.
- Type — Recent Purchase, Live Visitor Count, Signup, Review, Low Stock, or Announcement Bar.
- Status — Active or Paused. Click the toggle to switch instantly without leaving the list.
- Views (30 days) — how many times the notification has been displayed to visitors in the last 30 days.
- Clicks (30 days) — how many visitors clicked the notification.
From the list, you can also Edit a notification to open its full configuration, or Duplicate it to create a copy as a starting point for a new variant or A/B test.
Analytics overview
The Analytics section gives you a site-wide view of notification performance.
- Total notification views — aggregate impressions across all active notifications for the selected date range.
- Click-through rate — the percentage of views that resulted in a click. A healthy CTR for social proof notifications typically falls between 2% and 8%, depending on notification type and placement.
- Conversion attribution — available when you have an e-commerce integration connected. Activly tracks whether visitors who saw a notification went on to make a purchase within the same session.
- Top-performing notifications — a ranked list showing which of your notifications drives the most engagement. Use this to prioritize what to optimize or A/B test next.
You can filter all analytics by date range and by individual notification.
Installation status
The installation status indicator appears in Settings → Install Script and in the dashboard header.
- Green — the Activly script has been detected on your site recently. Everything is working.
- Yellow — the script was detected before but has not been seen in the last 24 hours. This can happen if you recently removed the script, updated your theme, or if your site has aggressive caching. Clear your cache and reload a page on your site.
- Red — the script has never been detected, or has not been seen in a long time. Follow the installation guide to add the script back to your site.
The status updates automatically — you do not need to refresh the dashboard manually.
