Updating Your Payment Method
Add a new card or update your billing details in the Activly dashboard.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Update payment method.
- Enter your new card details in the secure payment form.
- Click Save.
- Your next invoice will be charged to the new card automatically.
The old card is removed from your account immediately after the new one is saved. There is no period where both cards are stored simultaneously.
What happens if my card update fails?
If Stripe cannot verify your new card, the form will display an error message explaining the issue. Common causes include:
- Incorrect card number or expiry date
- Billing address does not match the address on file with your bank
- The card has been flagged by your bank for online transactions
In these cases, contact your bank directly or try a different card. If the issue persists, email hello@activly.io.
Supported payment methods
Activly accepts:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Discover
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. Activly never stores, sees, or has access to your raw card details. All card data is tokenized and managed by Stripe's infrastructure.
Updating your billing email
The billing email is the address that receives invoices and payment receipts. To update it:
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Find the Billing Email field.
- Enter the new email address.
- Click Save.
This is separate from your login email. You can route invoices to a finance team or accounting address without changing the email you use to sign in.
Accessing past invoices
All invoices are available in Settings → Billing → Invoice History. Each invoice can be downloaded as a PDF — useful for expense reports or accounting records.
